About the Role
Our client, a premier automotive service center in Miami, Florida , is seeking a qualified Automotive Electrician / High Voltage Specialist to join their dedicated team. This role is crucial for servicing and repairing modern vehicles equipped with advanced electrical and hybrid/electric powertrains. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in high-voltage systems, battery diagnostics, and complex electrical troubleshooting. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of critical electrical components and systems, working with a diverse range of vehicle makes and models. This is a hands-on position based at our facility in sunny Miami , requiring a meticulous approach and a commitment to the highest standards of automotive repair.
Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex automotive electrical systems, including lighting, power accessories, and infotainment. Specialize in the diagnosis and repair of hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) high-voltage systems. Safely handle and work with high-voltage components and battery packs, adhering to strict safety protocols. Perform battery health checks, diagnostics, and necessary repairs or replacements. Interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical service bulletins. Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment for electrical and high-voltage systems. Conduct system tests to verify repairs and ensure proper functionality. Maintain accurate repair records and documentation. Stay current with advancements in automotive electrical and EV technology. Provide clear explanations of diagnoses and repair recommendations to service advisors. Requirements Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a similar role, with a focus on electrical systems. Specific experience and training in diagnosing and repairing hybrid and electric vehicle high-voltage systems is essential. Certification or equivalent experience with high-voltage automotive systems (e.g., EV/Hybrid specialist training). Proficiency with diagnostic software and electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). Strong understanding of automotive electrical theory and principles. Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on safety.
