MSH has partnered with a leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join its Finance leadership team in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
This is a highly strategic finance leadership role reporting directly to the VP of Finance. The Director of FP&A will serve as a key business partner to executive, operational, and commercial leadership, helping drive financial performance, profitability, forecasting, capital allocation, and long-term business decisions.
This is not a traditional budgeting and reporting role. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing finance experience, executive presence, and the ability to translate complex operational and financial data into actionable business recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, operations, commercial teams, and business unit leaders.
- Provide financial insight and decision support across revenue, margins, cost performance, working capital, capital investments, and profitability.
- Analyze performance by product, market, business segment, and operational driver.
- Connect operational KPIs such as volume, mix, plant performance, freight, productivity, inventory, and cost absorption to financial results.
- Build financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions and capital investments.
- Prepare polished executive and Board-level presentations.
- Strengthen management reporting, dashboards, KPI governance, and financial storytelling.
- Improve forecasting accuracy, reporting speed, planning discipline, and overall FP&A process maturity.
- Drive accountability, analytical rigor, and stronger business partnership across the finance organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field required.
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A, finance leadership, business partnering, or related experience.
- Manufacturing, industrial, building materials, construction materials, chemicals, heavy manufacturing, or similar operational finance experience strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with standard costing, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
- Strong SAP experience required.
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
- Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, HFM, Power BI, or similar reporting and planning tools preferred.
- Strong people leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and elevate a team.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and challenge assumptions constructively.
- Experience preparing executive-level or Board-level presentations preferred.
