Barista Shift Lead

Description: Millcreek Coffee is hiring part-time barista shift lead (Must have Sunday availability) at our downtown location. We are searching for customer-oriented, motivated and responsible people that have a love for local coffee and coffee roasters. This is a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Millcreek Coffee Barista Shift Leads are expected to deliver extraordinary experiences to customers, as well as ensure daily operations run smoothly. Barista Shift Lead must be able to work Sundays and a few days during the week. Barista Shift Leads will handle all regular barista tasks - such as preparing beverages including coffee and non-coffee beverages, cooking food, performing basic opening and closing tasks including: inventory, cleaning, cash handling, point-of-sale work, restocking etc. They will also handle various shift lead tasks - including placing daily orders, sending baristas on break, covering during staffing emergencies, acting as a liaison between staff and manager, educating customers on products, and delegating tasks to keep shop clean and running efficiently.

Qualifications: Barista shift leads must enjoy working with coffee, have a great attitude, work well with others, be comfortable giving orders, have knowledge of the flow of a cafe style business, be honest in cash handling and have excellent customer service skills. Must be available Sunday's. A food handler’s permit is required. Barista experience is required. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
