Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper knife skills and equipment upkeep
  • Support menu planning by assisting with ingredient prep and portioning for upcoming service
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours
  • Assist with catering events and special functions as needed, providing excellent food service and support

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards
  • Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling within restaurant or catering settings
  • Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in food industry best practices for sanitation and safety
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations
  • Prior culinary experience or training is a plus; enthusiasm for learning is essential

Pay: $20.00 - $29.83 per hour
