Essential Responsibilities

  • · Staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
  • · Maintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations.
  • · Monitoring inventory and providing information to supervisor
  • · Preparing all menu items until 1 hour prior to closing
  • · Cleaning and maintaining all equipment.
  • · Assist chef with all weekly deliveries and storage of food items.

Additional Responsibilities

  • · Managing all food order slips and ensuring customers’ orders are completed promptly.
  • · Assist with all special events.
  • · Maintain all Mortalis food standards.
  • · Provide a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
  • · Understand this is an open kitchen and act accordingly.

Skills:

-Proficient in preparing pizza dough

-Proficient in using brick pizza oven

-Proficient in use of fryers

  • Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and equipment
  • Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to handle and store food properly to prevent contamination
  • Understanding of the food industry and its best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Note: Prior experience as a cook or in the culinary field is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
