Essential Responsibilities
- · Staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
- · Maintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations.
- · Monitoring inventory and providing information to supervisor
- · Preparing all menu items until 1 hour prior to closing
- · Cleaning and maintaining all equipment.
- · Assist chef with all weekly deliveries and storage of food items.
Additional Responsibilities
- · Managing all food order slips and ensuring customers’ orders are completed promptly.
- · Assist with all special events.
- · Maintain all Mortalis food standards.
- · Provide a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
- · Understand this is an open kitchen and act accordingly.
Skills:
-Proficient in preparing pizza dough
-Proficient in using brick pizza oven
-Proficient in use of fryers
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and equipment
- Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to handle and store food properly to prevent contamination
- Understanding of the food industry and its best practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Note: Prior experience as a cook or in the culinary field is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
