Position Summary
Our Advanced Machine Operators run equipment such as millers, lathes, grinders, or drill presses for non‑routine or routine core part machining and salvage. They operate either manual machining equipment or CNC controlled equipment to produce production parts to required tolerances for preparation for the assembly process.
Shift Time
This is a 1st shift position working 5am to 3:30pm Monday‑Thursday with mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs routine production duties by following written processes to operate machinery such as: mills, lathes, grinders, seat/guide/stud presses, induction heat treating equipment, drill presses, CMM, specialized gauging equipment for seat and guides and operate an assembly line to specific tolerances in required quantities
- Responsible for the visual and quantifiable inspection of the final result of their process.
- From experience, resolves basic production and machine operating problems, performs equipment set up and may perform minor operating modification to equipment as needed.
- Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding and maintains a safe working environment by following company safety policies.
- Assists in other production areas as needed.

Essential Qualifications
- Prior experience operating close tolerance machines such as lathes, drills, grinders, etc.
- Ability to perform basic math; add and subtract numbers.
- Ability to use hand, air, and power tools.
- Requires effective relationship management skills with co‑workers in a team environment.
- Basic computer literacy required. Ability to use computer systems to retrieve work process and Bills of Materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing paced assembly line setting
- Specialized training and/or job knowledge in engine and engine components
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
