Role Description The Commercial Insurance Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Reno, NV, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role manages a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing ongoing support, policy servicing, and proactive communication to ensure coverage remains aligned with each client’s evolving needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing quotes and proposals, processing renewals, endorsements, and certificates, and responding to client inquiries about coverage, billing, and claims. The Account Manager collaborates with producers, carriers, and internal teams to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and deliver timely, accurate information. This role also involves identifying opportunities for coverage improvements, cross-selling appropriate products, maintaining organized account files, and contributing to a responsive, client-centered service experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong account management skills, including portfolio oversight, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Customer service experience with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
  • Commercial insurance knowledge, including property, liability, and industry-specific coverages.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and carrier interaction.
  • Sales and cross-selling abilities to identify client needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Relevant experience in an insurance agency or brokerage environment preferred.
  • Applicable state insurance license (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
  • Proficiency with insurance management systems and standard office software tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to a collaborative team environment.
