Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a growing organization in Texas. The person in this role will contribute to a collaborative accounting team by managing essential ledger activity, supporting payables, and ensuring financial transactions are recorded with precision.Responsibilities:• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records and support monthly accounting activity.• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure balances are complete and correct.• Process accounts payable transactions, verify supporting documentation, and help maintain timely vendor payments.• Assist with month-end close tasks, including reviewing account activity and organizing financial data for reporting.• Monitor daily accounting transactions and ensure entries are recorded in accordance with internal procedures.• Support audits and internal reviews by gathering documentation and responding to requests from finance leadership.• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice, coding, and account-related issues in a timely manner.
