Job Description for Warehouse Logistics Worker:
As a Warehouse Logistics Worker at Aramark, you play a key role in ensuring that products are received, organized, and distributed efficiently and accurately. You'll support the overall warehouse operations including inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
Qualifications for Warehouse Logistics Worker:
- Participants should have attained the age of 18 or above
- Having a high school diploma or GED is the recommended credential
- Two years of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Essential competencies in reading, writing, and arithmetic are necessary
- Basic computer literacy
- Proficiency in communicating clearly and concisely in writing and speech
- Ability to operate tools with skilled manual dexterity
- Proficient in lifting weights of up to 50 pounds, with regular carrying and handling of loads up to 35 pounds
- A valid driver's license might be obligatory based on the location, with an assessment of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) being included
Physical Demands for Warehouse Logistics Worker:
- Lengthy periods of walking and being on foot
- Consistent utilization of physical effort in lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling movements
- Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are to be used in accordance with the regulations
Job Responsibilities for Warehouse Logistics Worker:
- Examine, mark, and sort incoming inventory; notify of any discrepancies noticed in the received products in comparison to the provided invoices
- Employ the FIFO inventory method for perishables to maintain freshness and reduce the risk of spoilage
- Engage in tasks involving the operation or training for the use of manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary
- Compile and manage stock to meet requirements for product, material, and machinery orders
- Perform the task of moving, unloading, and conveying goods throughout the warehouse or to client locations by means of carts or powered vehicles
- Execute routine inventory tallies at designated times
- Precisely fill out all necessary documentation, which may include maintaining inventory logs, conducting temperature verifications, recording spoilage incidents, and inspecting equipment, using either paper-based or digital systems
- Preserve the cleanliness of the warehouse environment, covering restroom facilities, break rooms, loading docks, and elevated platforms
- Follow safety guidelines, adhere to OSHA standards, take note of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) recommendations, and be aware of how to respond in emergencies
- Prioritize the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for safety
- Preserve the safety of both customer and corporate possessions
- Project professionalism when communicating with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
- Show up at appointments and undertake other tasks as mandated
