About who needs care: Diabetes management and dementia
About the care needs: Mostly seeking a caregiver for daily tasks such as cooking, eating, homemaking, and general companionship. My grandmother, Marcie, is diabetic so needs assistance with managing her diet. She is also experiencing symptoms of dementia, though we are waiting on an official diagnosis from the neurologist. Marcie was discharged from the hospital about one month ago at the end of May 2026 after being admitted for a fall. She was married to my grandfather for 34 years and he recently passed in February, which has seemingly triggered her downfall medically.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
