The Warehouse Transfer Driver will be responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, storing, picking, packing and distribution of products within the warehouses. They will also be responsible for delivering seasonal equipment like skis, snowboards, bikes, rental equipment and retail items between designated company locations with the use of company delivery trucks. Their duties will include organizing and verifying incoming products, preparing outgoing products for transfer or shipment, loading/unloading trucks and driving company box trucks and cargo vans. This position reports to the Transfer Driver Manager.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities

Responsible for inventory receiving and warehouse put away of incoming product.

Responsible for picking, packing and transferring product to internal and external customers

Load and unloads trucks as new product arrives and outgoing transfers are completed

Pick, pack and ship all product that is a part of the request process

Fulfill the rental restocking request process including picking correct product, organizing transfers and ensuring all returning equipment is properly received, organized and racked

Responsible for safely operating warehouse equipment and driving company vehicles which may include pallet jacks, freight elevators, dock lifts, box trucks and vans

Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver bikes, skis, snowboards and other items between Rental/Retail stores, Tune Shop, Guest Service locations and other designated company locations

Load and unload bikes, skis and snowboards onto rolling carts, roll carts between truck and pickup/delivery locations. Carts can weigh up to 600 lbs. and sometimes need to be rolled through snow and other varying terrain

Record pickup and delivery information in inventory management software

Maintain telephone contact with supervisor and team members

Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

High School diploma or GED required

Must have a valid, current, unrestricted Driver’s License

6 months (minimum) previous experience driving large box truck is required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficient knowledge of operating a large vehicle in adverse conditions

Knowledge in all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working

Basic industry terminology

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Ability to do basic problem-solving

Ability to identify straightforward issues and propose simple solutions

Ability to maintain a clean, healthy and organized environment/workspace across all warehouses and warehouse properties

Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members

Ability to drive and operate a box truck

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to be a team player by working collaboratively with others

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time

Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces

Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
