We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
  • Record journal entries accurately, including debits and credits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment tracking
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial data integrity
  • Prepare financial reports, including statements related to governmental or non-profit accounting as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit settings
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero, Sage, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
  • Familiarity with financial concepts including account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
  • Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus
  • Ability to perform 10 key typing with high accuracy for data entry tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of budgeting processes and financial report writing is desirable
