This role is essential for the prosperity of Starbucks Reserve locations as it aims to provide customers with an exceptional experience while serving as advocates for coffee leadership and culinary quality. Responsibilities:

• Act as a passionate food aficionado within the store setting, offering exceptional understanding of food items, drinks, ingredient standards, and product presentation.

• Ensure the consistency of food quality and presentation by strictly following the recipes and standards set in place.
• Ensure continuous output to meet daily production requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Stay in line with the recommendations and instructions concerning health, safety, and sanitation.
• Regularly seek out new food knowledge and beverage insights to discuss with others.
• Maintain awareness of a diverse array of ever-changing food and drink selections.
• Regularly review the environment within the Reserve Cafe and the surrounding area to predict customer and store requirements.
• Elevate the customer experience at Reserve Café by establishing connections with guests and fulfilling their desires efficiently.
• Prepare and complete a selection of food menu options such as pizza, croissants, brioche, sandwiches, salads, and customized baked eggs and appetizers.
• Keep the food display case filled and arranged neatly to present an appealing aesthetic throughout the day.
• Inspect a diverse range of doughs and laminated items to ensure that proofing is done accurately.
• Implement daily preparation plans and production demands to meet diversity and quantity goals set for different times throughout the day.
• Observe the inventory handling and storage protocols.
• Make sure to fill out and maintain comprehensive production sheets and any other required documentation.
• Adhere to Starbucks' operational guidelines, which encompass protocols for managing cash, ensuring safety, and maintaining security standards.

Qualifications:

• Engaging in the service industry (kitchen, restaurant, bar, or hospitality) involves firsthand experience in serving and accommodating the preferences of customers
• Proficiency in the English language is marked by strong capabilities in reading, writing, and verbal expression
• Can work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• In situations where it is not mandated by law, having a food handler card is optional
• Basic knife skills
• Quick adaptation and understanding
• Ability to comprehend and act upon verbal and written instructions, and the willingness to ask for clarification when required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Skill in collaborating within a group, fostering favorable connections
• Excellence in noticing fine details, a robust dedication to work, proficiency in multitasking, and adeptness in determining task priorities
• Capability for physical flexion, rotation, squatting, extension, crawling, pushing/pulling, ascending stairs, and enduring long periods of standing
• Ability to carry 35 lbs consistently and occasionally lift/push up to 50 lbs
