Architectural Project Manager – Kansas City, MO / Los Angeles, CA / Dallas, TX

Lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Sports, Public Assembly, and Higher Education projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
  • Engaging with team leaders, client contacts, and partner firms
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts and preparing fee proposals
  • Managing and leading teams and staff
  • Successfully developing strategy, mitigation efforts, proposals, contract review, and leading project teams to execute projects
  • Managing and supporting all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools
  • Supporting business development efforts as required to engage new client opportunities
  • Managing teams across business lines
  • Managing subconsultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
  • Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
  • Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Reporting and escalating to management as needed
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks
  • Maintaining project documentation control

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, plus four+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Architecture or Engineering leading multidisciplinary teams on business development and project deliverables
  • 4+ years with specific project management experience in sports venues
  • Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated team‑building ability and internal/external networking skills
  • Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction
