Role Description This is a part-time/full-time on-site Swim Instructor role based in Menifee, CA. The Swim Instructor will lead individual and group swim lessons, teaching water safety, basic skills, and stroke techniques to children and adults of varying skill levels. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring swimmer progress, and maintaining a safe and organized pool environment. The role involves close collaboration with other staff members, communicating with families about swimmer development, and adhering to facility rules and safety protocols. The Swim Instructor may also assist with class scheduling, swim assessments, and special programs or events.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Swim Instruction and Swim Lessons skills, with experience teaching different age groups and abilities.
  • Candidates should possess solid Swimming and Aquatics skills, including knowledge of stroke techniques, water safety practices, and skill progression.
  • Candidates should possess Lifeguarding skills, including certified training in water rescue, CPR, and first aid (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with swimmers, families, and team members in a professional manner.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to maintain focus in a busy pool environment, follow safety procedures, and respond calmly in emergencies.
  • Previous experience as a swim instructor, coach, or lifeguard is preferred; familiarity with lesson planning and progress tracking is beneficial.
  • Availability to work a consistent schedule, including possible evenings or weekends, as needed by the academy.
