About the Position
This Occupational Therapist position is based in a welcoming community in eastern North Carolina, offering the best of small-town living with convenient access to larger regional hubs. The facility is committed to quality, patient‑centered care and fosters a collaborative, team‑oriented culture. You will work closely with physical therapists, speech‑language pathologists, nursing, physicians, and case management to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with functional limitations related to orthopedic conditions, neurological diagnoses, deconditioning, and other medical and surgical conditions.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADL and IADL training, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognitive and perceptual skills, and adaptive equipment or environmental modifications.
- Educate patients and caregivers, ensuring thorough documentation in the EMR and participation in interdisciplinary care conferences as needed.
- Manage caseload that may include a mix of outpatient and inpatient or post‑acute rehabilitation patients.
Qualifications
Required:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in outpatient settings.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience (reference required).
Preferred:
- Experience in a similar regional health network environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
