Position: Phlebotomist I - Mount Pleasant

Phlebotomist I

This role involves performing blood draws and collecting specimens in a fast-paced lab setting while ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles
  • Collect, label, process, and store blood and other specimens
  • Handle 25–35+ patient draws per day across all age groups
  • Explain procedures clearly and provide strong patient care
  • Verify test requisitions and ensure 100% labeling accuracy
  • Centrifuge, package, and prepare specimens for transport
  • Maintain patient records and update information in systems
  • Follow OSHA/DEP safety and quality guidelines
  • Support team workflow and assist with basic troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • 6 months to 2 years of phlebotomy experience
  • Experience with high-volume draws and all age groups
  • Strong venipuncture skills and specimen handling knowledge
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency

Work Environment:

Patient service center or lab setting, Monday–Friday (typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM), fast-paced with high patient interaction and strict safety standards.

This is a contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, SC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.75/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
