Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in residential or commercial spaces, ensuring a high standard of sanitation and comfort for clients. Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial properties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization
  • Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
  • Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, and carpet cleaning as needed
  • Ensure all areas meet sanitation standards and are free of dirt, dust, and debris
  • Assist with kitchen duties including basic cooking and food preparation when required
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction
  • Manage janitorial tasks including waste disposal, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is preferred
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation standards, and janitorial practices
  • Skills in laundry management and basic cooking are advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Previous experience with carpet cleaning, housekeeper management, or specialized cleaning services is a plus
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work full-time hours consistently

A Housekeeper needs to clean the work area to the standards of their employer. This requires attention to detail, physical strength and the stamina to work long shifts. Here are examples of a Housekeeper’s duties:

  • Provide housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out
  • Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service
  • Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to supervisor
  • Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
  • Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift
  • Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass
  • Collect and remove trash and debris
  • Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing and sorting linen
  • Report, turn in and log all lost and found items
  • Clean upholstered furniture
  • Perform detailed deep cleans when required
