Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Some Saturdays
Location: Omaha Metro – Local Projects (No Travel)
Position Overview
Sudbeck Construction is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for grading and underground utility projects. We are seeking operators comfortable running dozers, excavators, scrapers, and support equipment on production-driven job sites.
This is a full-time W-2 position with steady local work — not a contract role.
Equipment May Include
- GPS Dozers
- Excavators (trenching, backfill, utility installation support)
- Scrapers
- Cat 621 water wagons
- JD 8300 pulling compactors
Responsibilities & Duties
- Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Cut and maintain grade using stakes and/or GPS systems
- Support pipe crews with trenching, backfilling, and material handling
- Maintain proper elevations and slopes for drainage and utilities
- Coordinate with foreman and crew to maintain steady production
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Keep job site clean and organized
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Qualifications
- 3+ years heavy equipment experience preferred
- GPS grading experience strongly preferred
- Experience in site development or underground utilities
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
