Required Skills & Experience

Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Microbiologist Technician to support one of our clients in Lexington, KY. This individual will play a key role in supporting microbiology laboratory operations through testing, environmental monitoring, quality system compliance, and laboratory maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience, strong documentation skills, and a solid understanding of quality control processes within a regulated environment. This individual will work closely with Quality Assurance and laboratory teams to ensure compliance with GLP/cGMP standards while supporting testing of raw materials and finished products, microbial investigations, equipment monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials and finished products • Support administration of the environmental monitoring program • Participate in investigations related to microbial data deviations • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and testing methods • Support equipment validation, qualification, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities • Maintain laboratory records, data archives, and sample inventories • Document laboratory activities in compliance with GLP/cGMP requirements • Manage and document changes through quality systems and change control processes • Compile and trend microbiological data • Support quality audits and quality management system activities • Assist with stability studies and product performance evaluations • Order laboratory supplies and chemicals as needed • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards • Identify and address potential safety and quality risks Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements
