Job Summary
The Pride Center at Equality Park is seeking a compassionate, collaborative Part-Time/Hourly Social Worker (MSW) to serve as a field instructor for social work interns while providing overflow behavioral health services within our integrated Wellness at The Center program. This flexible position is ideal for an experienced MSW who enjoys mentoring emerging professionals while maintaining a small clinical caseload in a mission-driven community behavioral health setting.
The position typically averages 5 to 10 hours per week (with a guaranteed minimum of 3 hours weekly) based on clinic demand. You will provide direct client care under the clinical consultation of the Director (LMHC-QS), participate in weekly case consultation, and provide the required field instruction and supervision for BSSW/MSW student interns in accordance with university requirements and social work educational standards.
Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour
Hours: 5–10 hours per week (variable schedule based on clinic demand; 3 hours weekly minimum guaranteed)
Status: Part-time, hourly, non-exempt
Responsibilities
Social Work Field Instruction & Supervision
- Provide field instruction and supervision to BSSW/MSW student interns, ensuring they meet university field placement requirements, develop core social work competencies, and practice in accordance with professional NASW ethical standards.
- Complete required university evaluations and verify intern supervision and field placement hours.
Direct Client Care
- Conduct clinical biopsychosocial assessments, behavioral health screenings, clinical individual counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals for clinic patients under clinical consultation.
- Provide supportive counseling and care coordination for patients experiencing behavioral health concerns, including depression, anxiety, substance use, and life stressors.
Clinical Consultation
- Participate in weekly case consultation with the Director (LMHC-QS) to review client cases, support clinical decision-making, coordinate intern learning objectives, and receive clinical supervision for MSW caseload.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure documentation complies with HIPAA, organizational policies, and professional standards.
- Complete required university documentation related to intern supervision and field instruction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
Experience
- Must have held an MSW degree for at least two years, as required by our university field placement partners for social work field instructors.
Licensure
- Florida licensure is not required.
- If not already completed, participation in the Field Instructor Supervisor Training offered periodically throughout the year from local university social work programs will be required.
- Registered Clinical Social Work Interns and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) are welcome to apply within the established pay range.
NOTE: Clinical consultation is provided by an onsite LMHC-Qualified Supervisor; however, this position does not provide supervision hours toward LCSW licensure. Applicants pursuing licensure as a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (RCSWI) may count face-to-face client clinical hours completed at this clinic toward licensure, provided they secure an outside Board-Approved LCSW Qualified Supervisor (LCSW-QS) who assumes clinical oversight of those cases to meet state requirements.
Clinical Experience
- Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments, providing individual counseling, crisis intervention, and documenting care using DSM-5-TR-informed case conceptualization.
Organization & Collaboration
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance direct client care, student supervision, documentation, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
