POSITION SUMMARY:
The SALES REPRESENTATIVE, representing Marco Care and Rigging, will be a driving force on our Sales Team, responsible for establishing strong relationships to win new business in the territory and provide exceptional service to our existing customers.
Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with experience within the crane rental industry. The candidate will possess a strong ability to identify and support sales opportunities.
Excellent people skills, prior experience with equipment sales and/or equipment rentals, and exceptional customer service are critical for this position.
JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Visit prospective customers, create a customer relationship, and identify customer needs.
- Identify new opportunities to network with new customers to increase current market share.
- Take the initiative to discover additional sales opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain contact with existing customers to increase timely awareness of opportunities that present themselves based upon knowledge of the customer’s business needs.
- Provide sales/service and support of all jobs and customers.
- Promote and maintain strong communication and productive relationships with the Sales Team, Management, and Field personnel.
- Maintain detailed call reports.
- Keep personnel informed on any special requirements for jobs and/or customers.
- Assist with site inspections and assessment of hoisting requirements.
- Demonstrate a complete knowledge of the Company’s products and services offered.
- Keep informed on the products and services offered by the Company’s competitors.
- Proactively seek out information to increase your knowledge of new equipment and services that are of interest to customers.
- Provide and maintain accurate quotations to customers and dispatch department.
- Assist with timely resolution of customer disputes.
- Provide assistance when requested by credit department on customer account collection.
- Provide timely information for potential invoice credits to customers.
- Prepare accurate, complete, and timely expense reports.
- Maintain constant communication with Dispatch and advise on all field issues.
- Visit job sites to evaluate capabilities and safety performance of field personnel.
- Maintain job lists/schedules and ensure coverage of the job site.
- Advise Corporate Management on equipment needs.
- Take a proactive approach to ensure productivity and customer service.
- Assist with mentoring and training of field personnel.
- Identify and locate any special rigging needs for project completion.
- Availability on weekends and nights (if schedule dictates).
- Provide technical support to sales staff:
- Any quotes require cranes to utilize 90% or greater capacity.
- Lifts requiring multiple cranes.
- Quotes include crane attachments such as luffing jibs, heavy lift attachments, clam shell work, or anything out of the ordinary.
- 3D Lift Plans and Critical Lift Forms
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Sufficient formal and/or informal training to provide the ability to read and write at a level consistent with the requirements of the position;
- High School diploma (or GED) plus any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of this position;
