Heavy Equipment Operator

Pay: $20/HR

Hours: 5:30 AM until work is completed for the day

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Location: Oklahoma City Oklahoma

Job Description:

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner. This role is essential for the preparation and execution of construction projects ensuring that equipment is wellmaintained and that operations adhere to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery including D8T dozers G23F graders bulldozers excavators loaders and cranes.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform minor repairs to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to identify work requirements and determine the necessary equipment.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris leveling surfaces and setting up equipment as needed.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with other team members and site supervisors to ensure an efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

Skills Required:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator particularly in a quarry or construction environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery operation maintenance and repair.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and practices related to heavy equipment operation.
  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • ProblemSolving: Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and make quick decisions to ensure project efficiency.
