Job Overview:
An experienced Equipment Maintenance Specialist is needed to join the dynamic Equipment Services team
The position will be responsible for managing operations in Memphis and the surrounding zones.
In today's hectic world, adopting a Mon-Thurs 10-hour schedule can help employees achieve better work-life balance and increase their overall productivity, leading to improved company results
On the flip side, however, overnight work can come with its own set of distractions. For example, if you work in a public-facing role, you may experience more disruptions from late-night customers seeking assistance
The role may involve up to 25% of overnight travel depending on the company's needs.
The existing tech pay scale along with a supplementary $5/hr differential compensation
Utilizing excellent communication and customer service skills, the Technician Tech Services will interact with both internal and external customers of Coca-Cola Consolidated (CCC), Coca-Cola North America (CCNA), and Equipment Reutilization Solutions (ERS).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records and reports of all repairs and maintenance activities, in accordance with Company standards, to ensure that all work is documented and can be traced for future reference
Handheld devices must be utilized to ensure that precise records of delivery, removal, and movement are kept and that accountability for parts inventory is maintained
Follow the rules of the road to drive safely and avoid getting distracted while behind the wheel. Additionally, it is essential that you complete all the safety training activities that are required and adhere to the safety guidelines at the workplace. One important component of this is carrying out daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle as mandated by the DOT
To ensure the job's smooth and efficient functioning, it is crucial to maintain the correct usage, custody, and responsibility for all parts, tools, supplies, and necessary keys
Ensuring that you maintain all relevant documents and updates with regards to your equipment use is crucial to your success in your role
KSAs encompass not only technical abilities but also behavioral and cognitive abilities such as problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
To be considered for this job, you must be capable of handling loads weighing as much as 50 pounds
Extended periods of driving or riding can lead to fatigue and decreased attentiveness on the road
Employ refrigeration scales, general hand tools, and electrical tools to identify and diagnose problems in your refrigeration units, and take swift action to resolve them
Execute responsibilities at customer locations, regardless of weather conditions
Essential Skills and Qualifications in the Electrical and Refrigeration Fields
The GED program is designed to provide individuals who did not complete high school with an opportunity to earn a high school equivalency credential
Learning through work experience of up to a year
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid driver's license
Applicants who possess EPA Level 1 Refrigeration certification or are actively working towards obtaining it within the next half year will be given preference
For individuals who work in warehouses or manufacturing, obtaining certification for forklift and pallet jack operation is critical
Demonstrating competence in equipment repair and safety, as evidenced by passing company certification programs including BEST, FAST, and Advanced Refrigeration, is a necessary requirement for career progression
