Medical Billing Specialist/ A/R

• Job Summary
• Handle day-to-day billings, maintain and grow payer relationships, and ensure optimal billing process for Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine practice
• Must be self-motivated with superb time management skills
• Must be organized and detail-oriented
• Responsibilities Include
• Collaborate with patients, 3rd party institutions, & team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
• Troubleshoot issues encountered in the collection process to reduce turnaround time on claim payments
• Review EOBs, spreadsheets, and postings
• Reconcile denied insurance claims
• Navigating webportal to investigate denials and/or eligibility for patients plans
• Experience and Skills
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing/ AR
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment
• Allscripts preferred but not required
