Looking for Experienced Servers and Bartender for Omakase Japanese Restaurant

Job Overview

We are seeking a couple of enthusiastic and experienced Servers and one part-time Bartender to join our vibrant Japanese restaurant team in Chevy Chase. And one full-time experienced server for our Palomar location.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their dining experience
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of presentation and safety
• Mix and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, utilizing beverage recipe development skills
• Manage POS system such as Toast POS to process orders, payments, and refunds smoothly
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Assist with beverage inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy hours, including catering or banquet events when required

Experience

• Proven experience in fine dining settings or upscale restaurants, preferably with Omakase or Japanese cuisine knowledge
• Demonstrated expertise in bar management, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, and craft beer experience
• Familiarity with Toast POS systems is highly desirable
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
• Experience in food safety practices and customer service excellence
• Previous roles involving serving at high-end restaurants are a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a lively and positive attitude
