Accountant (Cash Management)

Department: Finance

Location: Remote (Preference for Orlando, FL area)

Salary Range: $65K - $80K

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in cash management to join our finance team. This role focuses on cash and investment accounting and treasury management for U.S. entities. While this is a remote position, candidates in the Orlando, FL area are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bank Account Management: Set up and manage bank accounts in accordance with board-approved mandates, maintaining key banking relationships, including handling state and statutory deposits.
• Technical Payments: Oversee the entire process for technical payments, ensuring accurate and timely input into systems or bank platforms, obtaining necessary approvals, and recording payments in accounting systems.
• Bank Receipts & Accounting: Monitor bank receipts and process related accounting journals.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and investment reconciliations, and assist with local investment reporting.
• Investment Management: Collaborate with the Head of Finance Programs (US) and the Investment and Treasury Lead to maintain relationships with investment managers, coordinate the purchase/disposal of financial instruments, and manage liquidity.
• Support Functions: Assist in creditor reconciliation exercises, quarter-end reporting, and other ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company-specific obligations, including financial crime and sanctions rules.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel is required. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in the insurance industry and in a similar role is highly desirable.

Education & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant qualification in treasury management.
• Experience: Previous experience in cash management, accounting, or a related field, particularly within the insurance industry, is preferred.
