We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our passionate team at Flex Valley Vista Rehab Clinic in Syracuse, New York. Work Environment

This is an onsite position within our dynamic rehabilitation facility. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team that includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. Our clinic predominantly treats patients covered by private health insurance, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care without the constraints often seen in other settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer direct patient care by following written and signed prescriptions from referring physicians or state-licensed practitioners, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations utilizing a variety of techniques to assess patient needs and establish effective treatment plans tailored to individual goals.
  • Design and implement treatment programs aimed at achieving predetermined objectives, regularly updating them based on patient progress and tolerance.
  • Make precise observations of patient status during therapy sessions, demonstrating agility in modifying treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
  • Respond to emergency procedures in line with department protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with clinic policies and procedures, helping maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, actively participating in chart reviews and activities aimed at enhancing service delivery.
  • Contribute to family meetings and interdisciplinary conferences, collaborating with team members to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required to support the smooth operations of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related mobility concerns. Every patient presents unique challenges, allowing you to utilize your skills and creativity in developing tailored rehabilitation strategies that promote healing and independence.

Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current and active licensure as a physical therapist in the state of New York.
  • No disciplinary actions against licensure, ensuring a solid professional standing.
  • Strong manual therapy skills, with a proven capability to assess and modify treatment strategies effectively.
  • Proficient in creating effective exercise routines that align with patient goals and contribute to their recovery.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, with the ability to navigate and utilize them efficiently for patient documentation and treatment management.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in outpatient rehabilitation or sports medicine settings will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary care approaches, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
