Cook – Amerisports

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team at Amerisports. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and snacks in a fast-paced sports venue environment. You will work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations

Monitor food inventory and communicate with management regarding stock levels and ordering needs

Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely food preparation during peak service periods

Inspect food quality and ensure all dishes meet company standards before service

Follow all health codes, safety protocols, and company policies

Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements to existing recipes and food offerings

Support other kitchen staff members as needed to maintain smooth operations

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience in a food service environment

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent portion sizes and presentation standards

Proficiency in operating standard kitchen equipment and tools

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a sports venue, catering, or institutional food service setting

Knowledge of inventory management and food ordering systems

Culinary training or certification from an accredited program

Experience with menu planning and recipe development

Bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish)

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and special events
