We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our therapy team, providing specialized care and support to children with autism spectrum disorders. This role involves assessing and treating speech, language, and communication problems, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance each child's abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Conduct initial and regular follow-up evaluations of children, adhering to a 6-12 month review cycle or as dictated by clinical judgment and insurance requirements.
  • Prepare and submit detailed treatment plans and care evaluations within specified deadlines to ensure continuous authorization and care delivery.
  • Therapy Management:
  • Oversee the therapy schedule, ensuring each child receives the maximum possible sessions each week as per their individualized plan.
  • Create, update, and discuss treatment goals with parents and team members during monthly meetings, incorporating parent feedback into therapy planning.
  • Collaboration and Supervision:
  • Work closely with occupational therapists, BCBAs, and other therapy staff in monthly collaborative meetings to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide guidance, therapy ideas, and training to Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs); supervise their work and provide clinical feedback.
  • Documentation and Communication:
  • Complete accurate documentation of all services provided within 5 days of service delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Office Manager regarding client progress, caseload adjustments, and therapy needs.
  • Engage parents actively, providing them with home program strategies to support skill reinforcement.
  • General Duties:
  • Ensure a clean and safe therapy environment by routinely cleaning and disinfecting used areas and equipment.
  • Perform additional related duties as required, maintaining professional standards and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both children and adults.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
