We are seeking dependable and mechanically inclined individuals to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up machinery and equipment, preparing surfaces, and applying high-quality industrial coatings to manufactured products. Ideal candidates will have experience in automotive repair, painting and mechanical assembly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare machines, fixtures, and equipment for production.
  • Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming before painting.
  • Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply paint using spray guns and other industrial painting equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Inspect painted parts for proper coverage, finish quality, and defects.
  • Perform touch-up work and correct paint imperfections as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment and machines.
  • Safely handle paints, solvents, and hazardous materials while following OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with equipment and report major repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive repair and painting
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience setting up or operating production equipment.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Experience with spray guns, paint booths, air compressors, and related equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
