Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter / Handyman to join our dynamic team. This versatile role involves performing a wide range of construction, repair, and renovation tasks across various projects. Duties
- Execute carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, and roofing with precision and care.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform repairs, installations, and fabrication work.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately carry out projects such as concrete forming, masonry, metal stud framing, and remodeling.
- Install fixtures such as cabinetry, doors, flooring, tile, and lighting fixtures while ensuring proper alignment and finishing.
- Perform plumbing, electrical work, caulking, and other maintenance tasks as needed on construction sites or properties.
- Assist with heavy lifting and material handling for construction projects
- Follow safety protocols on sites or during repair work to maintain a secure working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, trim carpentry, or related fields within the construction or restoration industry.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety procedures on active construction sites.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for various building systems including electrical and plumbing layouts.
- Background in concrete forming, masonry work (including bricklaying), metal stud framing, drywall installation (including plastering), and flooring/layering techniques.
- Knowledge of roofing systems (shingles or metal), siding materials (vinyl or fiber cement), and fixture installation processes.
- Strong understanding of safety standards relevant to construction painting, caulking applications, stucco work, rebar installation, and general site safety protocols.
