Civil Science is currently seeking a qualified Materials Testing Technician to join our team supporting roadway and transportation construction projects throughout western North Dakota. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and success of our construction materials and roadway projects. This is a seasonal / temporary position based out of our Williston or Dickinson, ND offices.
What You’ll Do
Perform construction materials testing in the field and/or laboratory
Inspect and test soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete materials
Document and communicate test results accurately
Support roadway and transportation construction projects
Work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and engineering staff
Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
Qualifications
Prior experience with construction materials testing in either a field or lab setting
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
ACI Level I Certification
Highway testing experience and certifications such as:
Soils Field Tester
Aggregate Sampler
Asphalt Pavement Inspector
Other related certifications
Previous experience working on NDDOT projects
