Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Sorter at Aramark, you play a key role in ensuring that products are received, organized, and distributed efficiently and accurately. You'll support the overall warehouse operations including inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• To be eligible, individuals must be 18 years old or more
• The preferred qualification for applicants is a high school diploma or GED
• Priority will be given to applicants with two years of warehouse experience
• The fundamental skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic are indispensable
• Basic computer literacy
• Excellent written and oral communication talents
• Competence in operating equipment with dexterous hand movements
• Capacity to raise objects of up to 50 lbs, with repeated lifting and conveying of loads weighing up to 35 lbs
• Having a valid driver's license may be necessary depending on the location, and an evaluation of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be carried out

Physical Demands:

The duties associated with this position may consist of:

• Prolonged periods of walking and standing still
• Continuous involvement in tasks that entail lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Adhering to the dress code and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is crucial

Job Responsibilities:

• Accept, verify, and tag delivered goods; highlight any deviations identified between the received products and the invoiced items
• Implement a system that follows the FIFO principle to organize and store perishable goods according to their entry dates
• Execute duties related to utilizing or being educated in the operation of manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
• Compile and coordinate stock to satisfy demands for products, supplies, and tools
• Transfer, deliver, and relocate goods within the warehouse area or to customer sites efficiently by utilizing carts or powered machinery
• Undertake scheduled inventory counts as required
• Precisely fill out all necessary documentation, which may include maintaining inventory logs, conducting temperature verifications, recording spoilage incidents, and inspecting equipment, using either paper-based or digital systems
• Keep warehouse sections tidy and well-kept, such as bathrooms, break areas, loading docks, and raised platforms
• Comply with safety measures, OSHA requirements, guidelines outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and emergency response protocols
• Utilize relevant Personal Safety Gear (PSG) when necessary
• Safeguard the welfare of both client and business assets
• Conduct interactions with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors in a professional manner
• Show up at appointments and undertake other tasks as mandated
