Position Overview:
We are seeking a self-motivated and skilled On-Call
Aircraft Maintenance Technician with a valid Airframe and Powerplant
(A&P) license to join our team. The A&P license is essential for this
role, as it demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of both
airframe structures and powerplant systems, ensuring the highest
standards of safety and maintenance in aviation operations. This
position offers a flexible schedule with significant free time,
allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to airline calls, ensuring a response time of 30
minutes or less.
Perform repairs and services on general aviation aircraft using hand
tools, adhering to FAA and manufacturer specifications to return
aircraft to service.
Carry an on-call phone 24/7/365 during scheduled shift days.
Ensure proper care of customer property through all phases of work.
Accurately complete required paperwork and work order details.
Offer technical advice via phone as needed.
Travel as required via car to various locations.
Coordinate offsite road trips and obtain customer approvals.
Understand and follow safety procedures, utilizing support equipment
in a safe manner to accomplish work.
Qualifications:
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory.
A minimum of three (3) years' experience working on commercial
airlines, corporate, and general aviation aircraft is preferred;
however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates
exceptional potential and a strong commitment to the field.
Broad knowledge of aircraft systems.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Ability to obtain an airport-issued security badge.
Work Schedule and Environment:
Scheduled rotations include flexible shifts such as 2 days on/5 days
off, 3 days on/4 days off, or 4 days on/3 days off, providing
substantial blocks of free time.
Work is performed on the line, exposing the employee to outdoor
weather and industrial-type noise conditions.
Willingness and ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
and 25 lbs. overhead.
Daily activities include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling,
twisting, and turning to pick parts from lower shelves, pulling, and
working at heights; reaching overhead above the shoulders and
horizontally.
