Medical Assistant - No Certification Required - Part Time

Be part of a team that values your growth and well-being! Our established and growing ophthalmology practice needs a bright and energetic individual with excellent customer service skills to fill a part time position. Must be able to commute to practice sites in Palo Alto and San Jose.

• Previous experience in a medical office a plus but not necessary
• Will train the right person

Duties:

• Greet patients warmly
• Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
• Oversee insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations
• Respond to records requests
• Schedule surgery and ensure preoperative paperwork is in order
• Room patients, chart chief complaints
• Ophthalmic testing (will train)

Required traits:

• Strong communication/English language skills
• Excellent telephone skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Computer proficiency
