CNC Lathe/ Mill Set Up and Operate – Full Time

We’re a well-established, busy job shop with a clean, organized work environment, looking to add another solid machinist to the team.

Our machine shop manufactures small-to mid-size stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic parts. We’re not a production line shop. The variety of work keeps the schedule moving and the routine from getting stale.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for keeping the machines running smoothly, checking in-process QC, catching issues early, validating measurements, and ensuring overall part compliance before sending them to the next operation.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up and running Haas CNC mills and/or lathes
• Reading prints and holding tolerances
• Inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc
• Keeping the machines and work areas clean and dialed in
• Handling light maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Jumping in on shop needs — deburring, cosmetic finish work, laser marking, packaging, and general upkeep. Responsibilities are shared, and teamwork is essential to keeping the shop running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years setting up and running CNC mills and/or lathes
• Solid understanding of GD&T
• Comfortable with inspection tools and measuring accurately
• Mechanically inclined with decent math and computer skills
• Detail Oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the job (lifting up to 50lbs, bending, pulling, standing, etc.)
• Reliable, positive attitude, and willing to learn
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Able to read, write, and speak English

Nice-to-have (not required):

• Experience with Haas lathe, mill, saw, or programming using GibbsCam or SolidCam
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, JobBoss2, and/or Verisurf softwares
