Job Summary

Our client a leading Media & Entertainment provider is seeking a Tax Analyst (Accounts Payable) to join their team! Responsible for supporting tax compliance and reporting functions within Accounts Payable Shared Services, with a focus on information reporting and withholding requirements. Ensures accurate processing, validation, and reporting of vendor tax data in alignment with federal and state regulations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage information reporting processes, including preparation and review of IRS Forms 1099, 1042, and California Form 590
  • Review and validate vendor tax documentation (e.g., W-9, W-8) to ensure proper classification and compliance with withholding regulations
  • Support withholding calculations and ensure accurate application of federal and state tax requirements
  • Perform data analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of tax reporting and Accounts Payable records
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, vendor management, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate vendor data
  • Assist with year-end reporting processes, including form generation, corrections, and filings
  • Maintain documentation and support audit readiness related to tax reporting and compliance activities
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and internal systems to analyze large datasets, track reporting requirements, and improve process efficiency
  • Ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining strong attention to detail

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, vendor management, or tax compliance
  • Working knowledge of IRS Forms 1099, 1042, and California Form 590
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data reconciliation and problem-solving
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $40.00 and $44.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
