Painter - Full-Time - 2nd Shift

The Painter performs all necessary functions in the operation, preventative maintenance and repairs of the interior and exterior painting, plastering, and cosmetic appearance of the Hospital's building and grounds.
Applies paint, wall coverings, and special finishes to walls, floors, ceilings, and diffuser, furniture, and any other related surfaces as directed.
Prepares surfaces including: sanding, taping, plastering, and all other related duties.
Mixes materials used: such as paints, stains, varnishes, enamels, lacquers and "custom" colors as required.
Cleans and maintains tools, brushes, equipment and supplies.
On a weekly basis, checks "Area of Responsibility" and notes deficiencies on Shift Log and takes corrective action as needed.
Shift:
Full-time, Evening (40 hours per week)
Location: Sibley Memorial Hospital,
High School graduate or G.Certificate preferred or with equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary.
Minimum of two years (four years desirable) of experience in the field of painting, plastering and wall preparation. Prefer experience in a hospital setting.
Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. The Hospital reserves the right to modify employee schedules as needed.
