Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager needed for an Insurance Agency located in Kansas City, MO. Our client is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their growing team. Based on your experience, you may be considered for either a Small Business Book or a Mid/Large Market Book.

Compensation
Pay: $50,000–$80,000 per year.
- Small Business Book: $50,000–$75,000 per year
- Mid/Large Market Book: $65,000–$80,000 per year

Job Duties
- Manage a book of Commercial Lines accounts from new business through renewal.
- Process endorsements, policy changes, certificates, audits, and cancellations.
- Market new and renewal business as needed.
- Build and maintain strong client and carrier relationships.
- Work closely with producers to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure accurate and timely account documentation and follow‑up.
- Other duties as required and requested.
Book of Business Opportunities
- Small Business Book
Approximately $250K revenue, accounts up to $12,500 in premium, high‑touch service environment with frequent client interaction. Candidates with a strong Personal Lines background who are looking to transition into Commercial Lines are encouraged to apply. This division currently generates approximately $2 million in premium and $250,000 in revenue. The role involves direct management and oversight of the small business division.
- Mid/Large Market Book
Approximately $2–3M in revenue. This larger, more complex commercial account requires managing a commercial book of business valued between $2 million and $3 million. The individual will collaborate closely with producers to develop and sell insurance programs. The role is proactive and service‑oriented, ensuring complex insurance needs are addressed with tailored solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience recently working as a CL Account Manager in an independent agency environment.
- Active Missouri or Kansas Property/Casualty license.
- Strong customer service and account management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- EPIC experience a plus, but not mandatory.
