Job Description for Retail Shelf Stocker:

At Aramark, the role of Retail Shelf Stocker is vital in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of products. Your primary responsibilities include supporting warehouse and retail operations by managing inventory, organizing orders, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications for Retail Shelf Stocker:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Previous experience in warehouse or retail stocking for at least two years is preferred
  • Basic literacy, writing, and numerical skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in handling equipment and tools with good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and regularly handle items up to 35 lbs
  • A valid driver’s license may be required depending on location, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check conducted

Physical Demands for Retail Shelf Stocker:

This role may include:

  • Extended periods of walking and standing
  • Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by safety regulations

Job Responsibilities for Retail Shelf Stocker:

Responsibilities at Aramark locations may vary depending on client and operational needs. Core duties may include:

  • Receive, inspect, and label incoming products; report discrepancies between deliveries and invoices
  • Store perishable items following FIFO inventory management procedures
  • Operate manual or electric pallet jacks and forklifts after proper training
  • Pick, assemble, and organize stock to fulfill orders for products, materials, and equipment
  • Load, unload, and transport products within the facility or to designated locations using carts or powered equipment
  • Perform scheduled inventory counts accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate documentation including inventory logs, temperature checks, spoilage reports, and equipment inspections
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and retail areas including break rooms, restrooms, loading docks, and storage zones
  • Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, SDS guidelines, and emergency protocols
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times
  • Protect company and client assets
  • Interact professionally with clients, coworkers, vendors, and visitors
  • Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned
