Speech Language Pathologist/SLPA

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, with expertise in assessing and treating communication disorders across diverse populations. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive therapy services tailored to each patient's needs, particularly within pediatric and early intervention settings.

Duties

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions using standardized tools and clinical observations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with patients’ goals and clinical best practices.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, and social communication.
• Support early intervention programs by working with infants and young children to promote developmental milestones.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to enhance communication abilities and manage speech or swallowing challenges effectively.
• Monitor progress regularly, adjusting therapy techniques as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and patient progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure comprehensive patient support.

Experience

• Prior experience working with pediatric population is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric speech therapy and early intervention programs.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and patient assessment techniques relevant to speech-language pathology.
• Proven ability to deliver patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism in clinical settings.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• A valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist is required; additional certifications in pediatrics or early intervention are advantageous. SLPA welcome to apply. Pay: $27.00 - $52.00 per hour
