Starkel Enterprises is launching an in-house commercial HVAC division to support our growing portfolio of commercial real estate and is seeking a Senior Master HVAC Technician who wants more than just another job.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional to build an HVAC company from the ground up—with the resources of an established business behind you and the opportunity to earn equity from the beginning based on performance and long-term leadership.

Initially, you will oversee the HVAC operations for our portfolio of 20 commercial buildings, while developing the systems, team, and infrastructure needed to grow into a full-service commercial HVAC company serving outside customers.

Your Mission

As the leader of our HVAC division, you will:

• Build and manage the HVAC division from the ground up.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs for 20 commercial buildings.
• Perform and oversee commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Hire, train, mentor, and lead future HVAC technicians.
• Develop operating procedures, safety standards, and service protocols.
• Create pricing standards and service offerings for future outside customers.
• Manage scheduling, inventory, equipment, and vendor relationships.
• Recommend capital improvements and energy-efficiency upgrades.
• Establish quality control standards and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Work directly with company leadership to develop long-term growth strategies.
• Help transform the HVAC division into a stand-alone, profitable company.

Ideal Candidate

• A Master HVAC Technician with extensive commercial experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Master HVAC License or Journeyman License with the qualifications to obtain Master status.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with rooftop units, refrigeration, boilers, hydronics, controls, and building automation systems.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to lead teams and manage projects.

Preferred Experience

• Previous ownership or management of an HVAC company.
• Commercial estimating and bidding.
• Service department management.
• Construction project management.
• Budgeting and financial management.
• Building automation systems (BAS).
• Refrigeration and controls.
• Welding and fabrication.
