We have an immediate need for Facilities Electrician 1st Shift (onsite).
What You Will Do
- Perform electrical construction or maintenance work necessary to install and repair electrical systems and interrelated components following standardized methods, applicable codes and engineering specifications for facilities and equipment in assigned area.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read complex drawings and schematic diagrams, use shop mathematics and understand principles of solid-state devices.
- Equivalent to 2-3 years trades training plus 2-3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of electricity and electronics, A.C. and D.C. circuits, various phase power and distribution systems and working knowledge of electrical code as applied to industrial work, including installations in hazardous areas.
- In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
