About the Role Our client is a highly reputable architectural firm with a significant portfolio of large-scale public and institutional projects. Based in San Antonio, Texas , they are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to oversee complex projects from conception through construction. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and a proven track record of delivering public infrastructure and civic buildings successfully. You will be responsible for managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining project budgets and schedules. This is a key position within our client's practice, contributing to the development of vital public facilities in the vibrant community of San Antonio . Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of large-scale public and institutional architectural projects, including feasibility, design, documentation, and construction administration. Lead and coordinate project teams, including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards in Texas . Facilitate communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and the public. Oversee the production of construction documents and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design intent. Manage contract administration and procurement processes for projects. Requirements Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in architectural project management, with a significant focus on public or institutional projects. Demonstrated experience managing projects with complex funding, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD). Thorough knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction practices in Texas . Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Experience with P3 or other public-private partnership project delivery methods is a plus. Licensed Architect in the State of Texas .
