Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and diverse learning styles
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
  • Monitor student progress regularly using assessment tools and standardized testing data to tailor instruction accordingly
  • Integrate literacy, math, science, social studies, and religious education into daily lessons to support holistic development
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to address individual student needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
  • Incorporate physical education activities and promote healthy habits within the classroom setting
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance data, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with educational regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred
  • Prior classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and learning styles adaptability
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating educational technology tools
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in a respectful and motivating manner
  • Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students with autism or other learning differences
  • Commitment to the values of Catholic education and ability to incorporate faith-based teachings into daily instruction
