Inside Sales & Customer Support

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and personable Inside Sales & Customer Support specialist to join our team. We are a growing commercial bakery with a wide range of customers.

In this role, you'll be the frontline contact for our customers, helping to drive sales growth while providing top-notch support. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with customers, manage accounts effectively, and contribute to our overall success.

Duties

• Receive, review, and process customer orders by phone, email, online ordering platform, or other approved Company systems.
• Enter orders accurately into the Company’s order management system.
• Confirm product codes, quantities, pricing, delivery dates, customer account information, special instructions, and cut-off timesBuild and maintain positive relationships with existing customers through responsive service and proactive communication.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bakery products, quantities, seasonal items, promotional products, or alternative options when applicable.
• Support sales growth by following up on customer inquiries, missed orders, inactive accounts, sample requests, and product availability questions.
• Assist outside sales representatives or management with customer account support, order history, pricing questions, and sales reports.
• Communicate customer feedback, product requests, market trends, and service issues to management.

Experience

• Prior experience in customer service, inside sales, order entry, dispatch, foodservice, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or related administrative support role preferred.
• Experience in a commercial bakery, food manufacturing, food distribution, restaurant supply, grocery, wholesale, catering, or foodservice environment.
• Experience with standing orders, wholesale accounts, route delivery, production cut-off times, or perishable products.
• Familiarity with bakery products, ingredients, packaging, allergens, shelf life, substitutions, and seasonal product cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
