Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Special Projects Carpenter with expertise in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse renovation, repair, and construction projects at solo site. (no travel from location to location) The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude and technical skill in a work environment centered around teamwork.

Duties

  • Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and drywall finishing to support renovation and maintenance projects.
  • Conduct plumbing work such as pipe installation, repairs, fixture replacements, and troubleshooting plumbing issues using hand tools and power tools.
  • Execute electrical installations including wiring, schematic interpretation, fixture setup, and troubleshooting electrical systems safely and efficiently.
  • Operate equipment and power tools to facilitate construction activities on-site while adhering to safety standards.
  • Operate manlift and bucket truck; Perform work on ladders/scaffoldng; lift 50+ lbs, walk up and down stairs and ladders; transport and installed ladders, sewer machines and other equipment.
  • Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, stucco application, roofing repairs, and restoration projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with to management to ensure timely completion of special projects while maintaining quality standards.

Skillls

  • Hands-on experience with construction management principles and estimating techniques.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and equipment operation.
  • Strong background in carpentry disciplines such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinet installation.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems including pipe fitting, fixture repair/replacement, and leak detection.
  • Electrical experience involving wiring methods, schematics reading, fixture installation, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with construction inspection procedures to ensure compliance with safety codes and quality standards.
  • Experience with construction site safety practices including caulking, plastering, welding, masonry work, hardscape installation, glass installation, roofing repairs, restoration projects, and concrete finishing.
