The Plumber assembles, installs and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems at the CMI customer site in Beltsville, MD.
Key Job Functions
Install, repair, maintain and/or replace plumbing systems including but not limited to, water closets, sinks, drinking fountains, decorative fountains, laundry tubs, service sinks, urinals, bathtubs, showers fixtures, floor drains, outlet lines, hose bibs, dishwashers, garbage disposals, HVAC, fire suppression systems, storm, sewer, water pipes and equipment and filters as necessary
Open and clean various types of stoppages including but not limited to clogged sewers (sanitary and storm), steam lines, toilets, urinals, sinks, tubs, showers, floor drains, general drain lines, traps, gutters, and rain leaders
Plan and layout work from blueprints, drawings, technical manuals or specifications to include placement, pitch, routing, elevation, expansion and operation of piping systems and associated components, equipment and controls
Inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance according to Manufacturers Recommendations
Performs other plumber related duties as required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
At least 5 years of Plumbing experience within a government facility
Must be a licensed plumber with experience in commercial plumbing systems
Reads and understand Blueprints and Plumbing Code
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to pass a government background check
