Role and Responsibilities:

The Hotel Custodian is an indispensable member of the Housekeeping Team, focused on ensuring that guest rooms and suites are maintained to the highest standards for the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. Essential qualities for a successful candidate include a keen attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service.

  • Follow the assigned tasks given by the supervisors to clean guestrooms in accordance with the hotel's established standards.
  • Inspect each room thoroughly, regardless of whether it is vacant or in use, to verify cleanliness levels and determine any missing guest amenities or supplies.
  • Demonstrate sincere hospitality and appreciation within the professional environment. Advocate for the services and goods provided by the hotel.
  • Foresee guest requirements and assume responsibility for addressing guest issues and demands; take prompt actions to guarantee guest contentment. Provide an extra service flair when a chance arises.
  • Be skilled in the secure operation of all applicable equipment and machinery, reporting any malfunctions or incidents to the appropriate authorities without delay.
  • Report and deliver any lost property or guest keys found in rooms scheduled for checkout to the Housekeeping Office immediately.
  • Uphold linen room cleanliness, stock levels, and secure closure when not in use. Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, orderly, and functioning properly.
  • Inform the manager about rooms in the designated area that do not need to be serviced or are showing Privacy signs.
  • Notify supervisors about any blankets, bedspreads, or valances that need to be replaced.
  • Log all instances of damages reported, repairs conducted, and maintenance tasks completed through HotSOS.
  • Verify that all cleaning gear is kept in good condition and stored appropriately.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Applicants should possess a minimum of one year of previous experience in a related role, with a preference for individuals with a background in luxury hotels.
  • The job mandates the capacity to lift 50 pounds and stand for a full 8-hour shift.
  • Competency in the maintenance and operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Exhibit a sharp eye for intricate elements.
  • Fluency in English understanding and working knowledge is a prerequisite for this position, coupled with the requirement for applicants to hold current work permits in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a luxury hotel environment is preferred but not required.
